Substance use disorder panel discussion set for Oct. 8
Join the Mountaineer Health Initiative and the WVCTSI for a conversation about substance use disorder with a panel of experts and community members.
 
"Meeting of the Minds: The Role of Stigma in Treatment and Recovery" will be held Oct. 8 from 3 to 5 p.m. via Zoom. Register online to receive Zoom information. 
 
The event will be moderated by Frankie Tack, MS, WVU Clinical Assistant Professor; Coordinator, Addiction Studies Minor; Dept. of Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, and Counseling Psychology. 
 
Panelists include Elizabeth Coffey, MA, WV Dept of Health and Human Resources Bureau for Behavioral Health; Terry Danielson, Southern Program Manager, Reintegrate Appalachia, West Virginia Sober Living; Kevin Junkins, MD, Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist, Community Care of West Virginia; Tanya Karwaki, JD, LLM, PhD, Health Law Fellow, WVU College of Law; and Aaron Riggenbach, Community member in long-term recovery.
