Surgery Grand Rounds: Training military and civilian surgeons
C. William Schwab, MD, FACS, FRCS will speak at WVU as the 2017 Peter Mucha, Jr., MD, visiting professor, hosted by the Department of Surgery.
The Grand Rounds will be held November 8 at 8 a.m. In the Okey Patteson Auditorium. “One Nation, One System!” will discuss an optimal plan to train military and civilian surgeons, review the role of the civilian military trauma training centers, discuss further progression to assure combat and disaster readiness in both the military and civilian sectors and provide a glimpse of the future national trauma system and trauma care in 2027.
Schwab is a professor emeritus of surgery at the University of Pennsylvannia.
All interested faculty, residents and medical students are welcome to attend.
