Today is deadline to complete C. difficile infection survey

J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital and WVU Medicine Children's Hospital are participating in a C. difficile infection (CDI) prevention collaborative with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and American Medical Association called, “Let’s Make A C-difference.”

The collaborative includes a survey that will assess hospital staff’s awareness of CDI prevention. The survey is submitted directly to the CDC once completed. The CDC will analyze the data and share prevention strategies tailored for the hospital. The survey deadline has been extended until Monday, Sept. 14, at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Y86C5L2

Infection Prevention and Control is encouraging staff participation. It is important to have as many participants as possible to allow for a better analysis for the CDC’s strategic plan. For more information, a short CBL, explaining the collaborative and the survey, is available in NetLearning.

Anyone may take the survey since it is a facility-wide assessment. However, the targeted audience includes:

  • Administration/Leadership
  • Providers (physicians and advanced practice providers)
  • Nurses (clinical and non-clinical)
  • Patient Care Associates/Medical Assistants
  • Environmental Services
  • Rehabilitation Services (PT/OT/Speech)
  • Pharmacy
  • Care Management
  • Respiratory
  • Lab Services
  • Radiology

  • Nutrition Services

A printable flyer is also available to help spread the word.
