Third Alumni Earns Board Certification in Pediatrics

Occupational Therapy education provides graduates the opportunity to enter practice in a variety of settings including pediatrics, orthopedics, mental health, geriatrics, and more. Graduates are then able to obtain specialty certification. Beginning in 2021, the American Occupational Therapy Association began offering the Advanced Certification Program to replace the previous peer-reviewed reflective portfolio application process. This distinction has been accomplished by fewer than 1% of all occupational therapists nationally.

Meghen Milinovich, MOT, OTR/L, BCP earned Board Certification in Pediatrics in August 2022. Milinovich has pediatric clinical experience in outpatient, school-based, and early intervention settings. Her clinical experiences, along with her personal experience as a mother, have developed her passions in handwriting, feeding, and oral tissue ties/ reversal (tongue ties).

Milinovich joins two other WVU OT alumni as just the third to earn this distinction. Your commitment to the profession, personal growth, and the practice area of pediatrics are outstanding.
