Two Supplemental Grants have been awarded under the “West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute: Improving Health through Partnerships and Transformative Research” Grant

Two supplemental grants have been awarded under “West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute: Improving Health through Partnerships and Transformative Research” umbrella grant. The principle investigator (PI), Dr. Sally Hoddered, along with several other faculty members, will be working on two new projects, one concerning Alzheimer's Disease and the other focusing on opioide recovery.

The first project, “Application of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Coupled with Virtual Reality for Slowing the Rate of Cognitive Decline in Patients with Alzheimer's Disease,” will receive $250,000 for direct costs.

The second project, “Opioid Addiction Recovery Augmentation: Physiologically-Based Interventions,” will receive $200,000 for direct costs.
