West Virginia ACP Chapter Updates

The West Virginia Chapter of the American College of Physicians hosted a virtual leadership day at the end of April, and has an upcoming meeting and competition in the fall.

Leadership 2021 which focused on virtual advocacy discussed ACP legislative priorities such as increasing GME slots, support for primary care, improving access to prescription drugs, and expanding access to telehealth.

The next meeting is November 4th-6th at the Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia. Thursday evening is the Doctors Dilemma for West Virginia residency programs. Friday will include popular Thieves Market presented by Chief Residents. Submissions for the Abstract Competition are due by Monday, August 30th. First authors are notified of their acceptance by September 27 and first place winners from the meeting are entered into a national abstract competition and get travel stipend.
