WVU Charleston Division sponsors MULTIFEST celebration

Medical students from the West Virginia University Charleston Division School of Medicine greeted visitors at the 27th annual MULTIFEST August 5-7 as part of the Health Science Center’s sponsorship of the event. The sponsorship is one of many examples of West Virginia University's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

The celebration “brings together various cultural and ethnic communities in an atmosphere of tolerance and goodwill through art, music, education, cultural programs and cuisine.” Nearly 30,000 were expected to attend and is the only statewide event in West Virginia that promotes cultural diversity.
