WVU Department of Otolaryngology Attends the Annual West Virginia AOHNS Meeting at the Greenbrier Resort

The West Virginia Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Inc. held their 35th Annual Meeting at the Greenbrier Resort from October 27th to 29th, 2017. The WVU Department of Otolaryngology is very proud to have had a large number of our faculty and residents who were invited to speak at this year’s meeting. The list of faculty and residents who provided educational presentations included:

Dr. Jeffson Chung - “Update on Oral Pharyngeal Carcinoma”

Dr. Steve Coutras - “Pediatric OSAS – beyond tonsillectomy”

- “Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulation for OSAS”

Dr. Scott Shapiro - “Outcomes of Total Malleus Removal for Anterior Cholesteatoma”

Dr. Adam Bender-Heine - “The Optimal Selection of Costal Cartilage: How Native Shape Lends Itself to Reconstruction”

In addition, several of the WVU faculty members were invited to be moderators or panelists for panel discussions at the meeting:

Drs. Mark Armeni and Jeffson Chung served as a Panelist for the Head & Neck Reconstruction Panel

Dr. Hassan Ramadan served as the moderator for the Sinus Panel: What’s New in Current Management of CRS.

Dr. Mark Armeni served as Moderator for the Sleep Panel and Dr. Steve Coutras served as a panelist.
