WVU Department of Urology offers rotation stipend for medical students
The West Virginia University Department of Urology is providing a unique opportunity for medical students whose institutions do not have an associated urology residency program by providing a $1,500 stipend for a four-week rotation.
The stipend aims to offset living and travel expenses for students completing the rotation at WVU.
“Our Department is based in WVU Medicine’s J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital where we see and treat patients of all ages with a wide range of conditions. We feel it’s an excellent opportunity for a medical student to learn about an in-demand specialty and see procedures they wouldn’t be able to at their own institutions,” said Adam Luchey, M.D., associate professor and director of the Department’s residency program.
To be considered, interested students enrolled in D.O. or M.D. programs must submit a curriculum vitae, letter of recommendation and personal statement under 250 words to Morgan Myers by the April 15, 2024 deadline.
