WVU Internal Medicine for Global Health 5K
Event Location: Edith Barill Riverfront Park, Star City
The third annual WVU Internal Medicine for Global Health 5K is an out-and-back, flat course along the Mon River, briefly entering the Core Arboretum on the Mon County Rail Trail.
The cost is $25 for individuals, or teams can register for $20 per person. To register, go to the active.com event page. The online registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 8, and those who register by that date are guaranteed a T-shirt. Race-day registration begins at 4 p.m.
Refreshments will be available before and after the race, and there will be awards for top finishers.
Proceeds from this event will be used for supplies for the department's clinical and educational projects at these international sites: India, Sierra Leone, Ghana, and Guatemala.
