Clinical Education

During the senior year (the second year of the professional curriculum), students receive both didactic instruction and practical experience. Students receive practical experience at one of the affiliated hospital laboratories including but not limited to, Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV; Mon Health Medical Center, Morgantown, WV; West Penn Allegheny Health System, Pittsburgh, PA; Excela Health which includes Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA and Latrobe Hospital in Latrobe, PA., Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV, United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV and St Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Students are assigned to their clinical rotation sites upon their admission to the program.  A clinical affiliate placement is guaranteed but the clinical affiliate assignment to a specific clinical affiliate site location is not guaranteed.  Students who are assigned to off-campus sites will relocate to those sites for the final semester of the senior year.  Students are responsible for their own transportation and housing.
