Interview Day
Interviews take place from September through March. Each applicant will have two twenty-minute interviews conducted by members of the Committee on Admissions.
Applicants who are invited for an interview will be able to schedule their own interview through our college net system. Please note, while the majority of interviews take place on the Morgantown campus, a small number of interviews will also take place on the Charleston and Eastern Campuses. Please pay attention to the interview date and location you select. More detailed instructions about your interview day will be sent via email.
Typical Interview Day Schedule
- 10:00 a.m.- Arrive for your interview
- 10:10 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Information session with Admissions
- 11:00 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. - Lunch with current medical students
- 11:50 a.m. - 12:50 p.m. - Tour of WVU Health Sciences Center campus and teaching hospital
- 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Applicant Interviews
Directions and Parking for Interview Day
Please refer to the information below for directions and parking instructions. Additional instructions will be provided in the Interview Reminder & Pre-Interview form which is sent about a month prior to the interview.
Directions to Interview from Mountaineer Station
From Mountaineer Station, take the elevator to the 7th floor and upon exit, turn right and follow the covered walkway until you reach the entrance of Health Science Center (HSC) North. Proceed to the main lobby, where you will see four large rectangular pillars (Pylons) in front of you. Walk through the lobby to the farthest back wall, past Cavanaugh's Cafe. As you go through a set of double doors, take a left and walk past the elevators and stairwell where you see a a Medical School Applicant sign. Pass the sign and take a left, proceed down the hallway towards the Welcome sign, which will be located by the MD Student Services Office, room 1146.
