Amy Bush to join WVU Healthcare as vice president of operations
WVU Healthcare has hired a vice president of operations who will be responsible for the development and execution of operational strategies related to surgical and other services for the organization’s Morgantown operations.
Amy L. Bush, B.S.N., M.B.A., R.N., C.N.O.R., joins WVU Healthcare from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-McKeesport, where she was vice president of operations. Previously she was at UPMC-Presbyterian, where she served as executive director of surgical services. She has spent 19 years in healthcare, the last 10 in healthcare administration.
Bush, whose first day is Feb. 2, 2015, will partner with leaders from throughout the organization to drive initiatives, programs and services to enable WVU Healthcare to deliver on its mission, strategies and goals. WVU Healthcare is exploring the option of building an ambulatory surgery center in Mount Morris, Pa. Bush will oversee this process.
Bush graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ohio State University and earned her M.B.A. from Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business.
