Walk with a Future Doc hosts Culinary Day

The West Virginia University School of Medicine Walk with a Future Doc program will be hosting it's first Culinary Day on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Culinary Day will feature a discussion led by Melody Phillips, M.D., an assistant professor for the Department of Family Medicine and a certified culinary medicine specialist. Her presentation is titled "What Makes Healthy Foods... Healthy?"

This 15-minute talk led by Dr. Phillips will be followed by a walk and a Q&A session and will conclude with healthy food and snacks for participants.

The walk will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m. Participants can meet at the gazebo at Star City Riverfront Park, at mile marker 6.7 on the Mon River Rail-Trail near Terra Cafe, to walk in-person. Participants can also join the walk remotely via Zoom and walk along at home.

To participate in the event virtually, sign up for the WVU Walk with a Future Doc newsletter and you will receive login information ahead of each of our walks.
