Residents are permitted 3 weeks of vacation each year. Vacations must be taken in one-week intervals. Vacation time cannot be carried over to the next residency year.
During the winter holiday season, residents are divided into two groups and each group has approximately a five-six (5-6) day period off, either during the week of Christmas or the week of New Years.
Meetings
During the first or second year, residents are funded by the Department to attend the District ACOG meeting.
Residents are funded, by the Department, to attend scientific meetings at which they are presenting research. At this time, there is no limit to the number of meetings that can be attended but only one meeting will be funded for each research project.
Sick Leave
Residents receive 135 hours of sick time annually (11.25 hours monthly).
