Obstetrics

You spend a one-block rotation in obstetrics at the Ruby Memorial Hospital Maternal Infant Care Center.  During the rotation, residents are part of the labor and delivery team alongside OB/GYN residents and faculty.  You will become proficient in managing patients during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum period.  Additionally, you will gain experience in performing common obstetrical procedures including external fetal monitoring interpretation, external cephalic version, internal fetal monitoring device insertions, operative and non-operative vaginal deliveries, circumcisions, and cesarean sections.
