Cystic Fibrosis and COVID-19, Two School of Medicine Faculty are published in South Medical Journal

Kyle Chapman, M.D., and Kathryn Moffett’s, M.D., abstract on “Cystic Fibrosis and COVID-19” was published in the South Medical Journal and featured in Gilead Medical Science Affairs’ September Cystic Fibrosis Literature Update, focused on pulmonary and infectious manifestation of disease.

Dr. Chapman’s and Dr. Moffett’s abstract focuses on the early days of the coronavirus in 2019, and how patients with cystic fibrosis and the physicians treating them worked on learning as much about the virus and its potential affects for those suffering with chronic lung disease.

Dr. Chapman is an assistant professor in Pulmonary and Critical Care and director of the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic, and Dr. Moffett is a professor and Division Chief in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, and director of the Mountain State Cystic Fibrosis Center.
