Dean's awards recognize long-time Department of Medical Education staff member

The Dean’s Excellence, Teaching, Service and Staff Awards recognize School of Medicine faculty and staff members for their demonstrated excellence in a particular area or for their years of service to the organization.  Nominations for these awards come from faculty, medical students and residents, and staff members of the School of Medicine, and is one of the highest levels of recognition that a colleague can receive.

Recipients demonstrate excellence in a specified area for an extended period of time. They are recognized by others for their influence – beyond that of their immediate department – and exemplify the School’s values of integrity respect, love, creativity, courage, faith, humility and trust. This year, Pam Carico from the Department of Medical Education, was awarded the Professional Staff of the Year award.
