Dr. Allison Suttle, chief quality officer of the WVU Health System, to leave effective Dec. 31

Michael Edmond, MD, chief medical officer of the WVU Health System, announced today that Allison Suttle, MD, MBA, chief quality officer of the WVU Health System, is leaving the WVU Health System, effective Dec. 31, to join Vanderbilt Health in Nashville.

“As the chief quality officer for WVU Medicine, Allison did an exceptional job leading many initiatives across our healthcare quality, patient safety, and patient experience programs,” Dr. Edmond said. “In addition, she served as interim chair of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Services from June 2022 through early 2024.”

Dr. Edmond further announced that Michael Stevens, MD, MPH, FACP, FIDSA, FSHEA, the WVU Health System’s chief epidemiologist and one of the Health System’s associate chief quality officers, will serve as interim chief quality officer, effective Jan. 1, 2025.
