Inspire therapy, a hypoglossal nerve stimulation system, can be an effective intervention for patients with positional obstructive sleep apnea, according to research presented during the American Thoracic Society 2025 Conference.

Study authors, Mark Colantonio, MD, resident physician of internal medicine, and Edward Rojas, MD, assistant professor of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine, both from West Virginia University (WVU) School of Medicine, spoke with MD /alert about the results and the focus on individualized care.
