Morgantown Clinic Offers Free Physicals to Area Students

On June 6, the Sports Medicine Division of the WVU Medicine Department of Orthopaedics in Morgantown provided free physicals to middle school and high school students from across the region, helping young athletes and band students prepare for a safe and successful school year.

Led by AJ Monseau, MD, and Ben Moorehead, MD, the event, held at University Town Centre, brought together a team of healthcare professionals, faculty, and health sciences students – from multiple specialties. They provided comprehensive evaluations, including musculoskeletal assessments and EKG screenings, for 139 students to ensure they are ready to safely compete and perform.

A shout-out to BJ Balcik, MD; Nick Chill, MD; Jennifer Kostik-Johnson, PT, DPT; Madison Lapp, MD; and Christopher Mercer, MD, along with the medical students, athletic training students, and physical therapy students, whose partnership played an essential role in the day’s success.
