New certification opportunity for all HSC students: "Community Action Poverty Simulation"
Thursday, Dec. 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The HSC Office of Interprofessional Education and the Schools of Public Health and Pharmacy, in partnership with the WV STEPS Center, are offering a new certification. All Health Sciences students are encouraged to complete the two-hour Community Action Poverty Simulation to secure this certification.
The simulation provides a hands-on experience for students to better understand the challenges many individuals and patients in the West Virginia community face. This simulation will help future healthcare professionals gain a better understanding of how to help impoverished people on a daily basis.
Date: Thursday, Dec. 2
Time: 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: IPE room #2940 A&B of Health Sciences North
All participants will be provided a boxed meal, two hours of community service credit, a certificate of completion and will be entered into a raffle drawing for a $25 gift card.
Sign up for the simulation by completing the brief form found at this link.
