New course for Spring 2021: Dismantling Structural Racism in Public Health (PUBH 693)

Dismantling Structural Racism in Public Health will be held Wednesdays from 1-3:50 p.m. (synchronous).

This special topics course, led by Linda Alexander, EdD, will focus on a legacy of historical and contemporary issues that enable and compound racism in public health practice, policies and science. Course participants will be able to utilize culturally relevant tools and resources to affect change in BIPOC communities. Dr. Alexander will facilitate personal reflection, safe spaces for critical dialogue and the establishment of health disparity career goals – all hallmarks of the course.

Priority enrollment for public health students. Graduate and professional students from the Health Sciences and other campus disciplines may be eligible to enroll (first come, first served) with instructor permission.

The last day to add/drop courses is January 25. View the full Academic Calendar.
