Participation in the 2025 runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

A shout-out to two WVU Medicine Fairmont Medical Center team members who participated in the 2025 runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Jan. 8-12.

Daniel Seavy, director of operations, and Tom Marshall, MD, Vice Chair, Community Operations and Medical Director, Community Emergency Medicine at the WVU Department of Emergency Medicine, competed in four – that’s right, four – events: a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and full marathon through a variety of weather conditions.

Their participation raised money for Give Kids the World, a nonprofit resort where critically ill children and their families are treated to a weeklong dream experience at no cost.
