“The IMMB internship will allow me to develop research skills while simultaneously providing me with income towards my education,” Dunham said.
The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology internship will offer the students research-intensive training in the fields of microbiology, infectious diseases, immunology, neuro-immunology, vaccinology, cancer cell biology and molecular biology.
The six students will get the opportunity to work on research projects under the direction of faculty members in the department. Additionally, the interns will have the chance to join a laboratory the summer after their sophomore year and have two years to develop and conduct an independent research project.
