Lemon Parmesan Swiss Chard

Ingredients

  • bunch Swiss chard, stems and center ribs finely chopped; leaves coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 small red onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onion, cook for 1 minute.
  2. Add chard stems and broth/wine, and simmer until stems soften, about 5 minutes. Stir in chard leaves and cook until wilted.
  3. Stir in lemon juice and cheese, season with pinch of salt if desired.
