Section of Nephrology

The Section of Nephrology offers diagnosis and treatment to patients with hypertension, renal diseases, and electrolyte disorders. Our department employs a staff of dedicated and qualified physicians. Education is an important part of our commitment to health care. As the region's leading academic medical center we take great pride in our educational contributions to the knowledge of future physicians.

The Nephrology Section accepts referral of patients with hypertension, kidney disease, and electrolyte disorders, including

  • acute and chronic kidney disease
  • glomerulonephritis
  • electrolyte disorders
  • acid-base disorders
  • cystic kidney diseases
  • nephrolithiasis (kidney stones)
  • diabetic nephropathy (diabetic kidney disease)
  • tubulointerstitial disease
  • end stage renal disease
