Thriving after Brain Injury: Living Our Best Lives

When: March 1 - March 3, 2022

  • Pre-Conference Advocacy Workshop for People with TBI, Caregivers and Family Members: Tuesday, March 1, 4:30-5:30 p.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Full Conference: Wednesday, March 2, 9 a.m. EST to 6 p.m. | Thursday, March 3, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The conference will kick off on Tuesday, March 1, with an advocacy workshop for people with TBI, caregivers and family members to come together to build skills and create community to further change in West Virginia. On March 2, the full conference will begin and provide opportunities for people with TBI, caregivers/family members and professionals to attend sessions on best practices for serving individuals with TBIs. Topics include supported decision-making, recreation therapy for people with TBI in West Virginia, driving after a brain injury, and advocating for legislative change.

Pending CEUs: Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS)
