Haines joins the School of Medicine communications and marketing team

Sam Haines recently joined the West Virginia School of Medicine as a communications specialist serving the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and the Eastern Campus.

Haines is returning to WVU after graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in strategic communications with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in sports and exercise psychology.

Following his graduation, Haines worked for the West Virginia Division of Highways as a technical writer before joining WBOY 12 News in Clarksburg where he served as the web manager for nearly three years.

While in his role at WBOY, Haines managed the station’s website and social media accounts and wrote, edited and published news articles for the website.
