Heckert receives National Athletic Training Association Research & Education Foundation Scholarship
Taylor Heckert, second-year student in the Master of Science in Athletic Training program has received the PFAT Lamar “Bubba” Tyler Scholarship sponsored by the Professional Football Athletic Trainers’ Society and presented by the National Athletic Training Association Research & Education Foundation.
The scholarship, which evaluates professional experience, service to the profession, professional accomplishments and leadership when selecting a recipient, provides support to athletic training students and their education.
Heckert, who conducts research on the risk factors contributing to anterior cruciate ligament injuries in athletes and return-to-sport protocols, feels honored and grateful to be selected for the scholarship.
“It feels nice to receive recognition for the hard work that I have put into my college career thus far,” said Heckert.
