2015 Lions Day
The 2015 West Virginia Lions Day at the WVU Eye Institute was a great success. Over 80 WV Lions Club members and their families attended the afternoon event that included presentations by Dr. Ronald L. Gross, chair of the Department of Ophthalmology and director of the WVU Eye Institute, Visvanathan Ramamurthy, PhD, director of they Eye Institute's Vision Research Center, and Rebecca Coakley, MA, CLVT, program director for outreach, followed by tours of the Eye Institute and a Blind Café where participants had the opportunity to experience briefly what it is like to interact in a low or no vision environment in a café setting.
