Register

WVU Students

Currently enrolled WVU students can register for the course by using STAR Online Registration. Go to WVU Portal and click on WVU System.

Non-WVU Students

Students not currently admitted to WVU will apply as a non-degree or visiting student. Non-degree and visiting students are admitted as non-degree, undergraduate students for a single academic term.

  1. Check with your institution about the transfer of credit for these courses before registering.
  2. Submit an application to WVU.  Instructions and more information can be found at   https://online.wvu.edu/visiting-students/.   It is recommended that this application be completed 5 days prior to the start of classes to allow ample time for processing. Once students are admitted, they will be notified and will need to register for the course. If the student does not receive notice of an admission decision within a week of a completed and submitted application, please check junk folders at the email address provided with the application *Admission to WVU as a non-degree or visiting student does not guarantee course availability or future admission to a degree program*
  3. Once you are admitted as a non-degree or visiting student you may register for the course at STAR Online Registration. Go to the WVU Portal and click on "WVU System"

Registration Deadline for Students: Last Day to register for students is Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023.

Preferred Application Deadline for Non-degree and Visiting Students: Wednesday, August 9th, 2023.

Classes Start: Classes start on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023. 

Semester End: Classes end on Friday, December 15th, 2023 (earlier if needed).
