Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute

The Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry is subsumed as a component of the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute along with Neurology, Neuroscience, and Neurosurgery. We are transforming neuroscience and developing real solutions for real problems. Our first obligation is to the people of West Virginia, but we will export our work from our labs and centers to the whole world.

Our purpose is highly focused – we are doing everything possible to improve brain health, performance, and resilience while advancing the care of brain disorders. The clinical and research faculty work as a coordinated team and are all unified in working to improve the lives, health, wellness, performance and longevity of our patients, the broader population, as well as the military and athletes.
