Each year we receive in excess of 300 applications for residency training in our program. Since it is impossible to interview all 300, all complete applications are carefully reviewed in order to select approximately 15 individuals to interview for each open position. Our admissions committee consists of a subset of our faculty representing all of the major divisions in our department. Residency selection is based on outstanding medical student performance, as well as the personal interview.
Our program participates in the National Resident Matching Program and only accepts applications for our positions through ERAS. For Foreign Medical Graduates to qualify for a position in our residency program, they must have completed one year of post-graduate training in an accredited medical institution located in the United States, and must be a US Citizen, or possess a Green Card or J-1 Visa.
