Travel Information

PLANNING A VISIT WITH US?

The closest major airport to us is the Pittsburgh International Airport, which is located about 80 miles North of us, in Pittsburgh, PA.  There are rental car services available at the airport, and also a commuter airline called Southern Airways Express, which flies to Morgantown several times each day, for rates as low as $29 one way.  Their planes are rather small (7-10 seaters), but you can't beat the price or convenience.  The Morgantown Airport is only about 4 miles from our campus and also has rental car and taxi cab availability, as well as Uber service.  

If you will be driving from the Pittsburgh Airport and points NORTH, you will want to follow these directions:

  1. Take I-375 East toward I-79 South and Pittsburgh for 10 miles
  2. Take Exit 64A onto I-79 South towards Washington
  3. Go 24 miles and take Exit 21 onto I-79 South toward Morgantown
  4. Go 39 miles and take Exit 155 towards West Virginia University
  5. At the bottom of the Exit Ramp turn left
  6. Go thru the 1st stop light and get in left lane.
  7. Go straight through 2nd stop light (Sheets on right), although the road will curve to the right
  8. Go straight through next stop light and get in left lane
  9. At the next stop light (Coliseum on the right), turn left onto Patteson Drive.
  10. Go straight thru the next 3 stop lights and get in the far right lane. Stay in the far right lane as it bears off to the right toward the Hospital, before the next light
  11. Stay in the right lane and follow the sign to Hospital Visitor Parking

If you are coming from the SOUTH, traveling on I-79 North:

  1. Once in WV, take Exit 155 towards West Virginia University
  2. At the bottom of the Exit Ramp turn left
  3. Go thru the 1st stop light and get in left lane.
  4. Go straight through 2nd stop light (Sheets on right), although the road will curve to the right
  5. Go straight through next stop light and get in left lane
  6. At the next stop light (Coliseum on the right), turn left onto Patteson Drive.
  7. Go straight thru the next 3 stop lights and get in the far right lane. Stay in the far right lane as it bears off to the right toward the Hospital, before the next light
  8. Stay in the right lane and follow the sign to Hospital Visitor Parking

If you are coming from the EAST, traveling on I-68 West:

  1. Follow I-68 West until it ends and then merge on I-79 North
  2. Take the 3rd exit, Exit 155 towards West Virginia University
  3. At the bottom of the Exit Ramp turn left
  4. Go thru the 1st stop light and get in left lane.
  5. Go straight through 2nd stop light (Sheets on right), although the road will curve to the right
  6. Go straight through next stop light and get in left lane
