Recent Recruits in Biochemistry

Trainees from Department of Biochemistry labs have successfully transitioned to postdoctoral positions in rich scientific environments and progressed along their career paths.
 
Dr. Sushant Bhatnagar trained with Dr. Brad Hillgartner and performed his postdoctoral studies with Dr. Alan Attie at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Bhatnagar is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and member of the Nutrition Obesity Research Center at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

Dr. Ali Kohan performed her dissertation studies with Dr. Lisa Salati and her postdoctoral studies with Dr. Patrick Tso at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Kohan is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Amanda Suchanek also performed her dissertation studies with Dr. Lisa Salati. Dr. Suchanek moved to the “southern part of heaven” to pursue her postdoctoral studies with Rosalind Coleman at the University of North Carolina @ Chapel Hill.

Dr. Dan Murphy completed his dissertation studies with Dr. Peter Stoilov and joined the laboratory of Dr. Joseph Corbo at Washington University in St. Louis for his postdoctoral work.

Dr. Kimmi Alonge completed her PhD work with Dr. Brad Hillgartner and joined the laboratory of at the University of Washington to perform her postdoctoral studies.

Dr. Jess Hall performed her dissertation work with Dr. Mike Schaller and is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at Bucknell University.
