Gynecologic Oncology

LOCATION:  CAMC Women and Children's Hospital -Charleston, West Virginia

Objectives

To provide an experience with the management of the Gyn cancer patient including preoperative and post-operative management, and the methods of surgical intervention available; to provide exposure to the multidisciplinary approach to care of Gyn cancer patients.

Methods to Achieve Objectives

Delivery of patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Responsibilities will be shared with the resident staff and supervised by the faculty.

Examination Procedures and Evaluation Criteria

Daily observation.

Pre-Rotation Instructions

WVU Students/Visiting Students: 4th year coordinator will email students one week prior with assignment and time to report.  Visiting students will first attend an Orientation before starting; you will receive an email one week prior with detailed Orientation information.
