Outpatient Orthopaedics

Objectives
An outpatient experience in Orthopaedic Clinics that emphasizes evaluation and treatment of common musculoskeletal conditions in all age groups. Designed for students interested in primary care, i.e., family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics and behavioral medicine. Some exposure to surgery and inpatient care.
Methods to Achieve Objectives
The student is involved in care of patients in the Orthopaedic Clinic and attend all of the departmental formal teaching sessions. Students will be given assigned daily reading articles to cover general orthopedics. Students must sign in daily at the clinic.
Examination Procedures and Evaluation Criteria
Daily observation. Students must sign in each half day of clinic with the clinic manager - Donna Mars.
