Paul Ogershok, MD

Dr. Paul Ogershok received the Dean’s Award of Excellence in Education for the development of a Board Game on Pediatric Knowledge and web-based learning tools for testing and simulated patient experiences. Dr. Ogershok thinks outside the box and finds new ways to make learning fun for his students. Dr. Ogershok’s commitment to education is deeply rooted – he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with his BS in Biology.

He graduated from the WVU School of Medicine in 1994 and went directly into the Combined Internal Medicine/Pediatric Residency Program which he completed in 1998. Paul served twice as Chief Resident - Pediatrics from 1997-98 and Internal Medicine from 1998-99. He joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in 1999. He immediately became the co-director of the Pediatric Clerkship Program. He is a member of COMSEP which recognizes him for his commitment to education of medical students.
