Speakers

John Kahler, MD

Dr. Kahler is the Founder of MedGlobal, and has worked with the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS).  His lecture entitled "Humanitarian Front Lines" will be given on Monday, October 15 from 12:00 - 12:50 in room 1905 of the Learning Center at the Health Sciences Center.

Douglas Slain, PharmD

Dr. Slain is the Chair and a Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the WVU School of Pharmacy.  His lecture entitled "Serving with Project Hope in Hurricane-raved Puerto Rico: A Great Interprofessional Health Care Experience" will be given on Tuesday, October 16 from 12:00 - 12:50 in room 1905 of the Learning Center at the Health Sciences Center.

Fahad Chaudhary, MD, Varun Badami, MD, and Devan Makati, MD

Dr. Chaudhary, Dr. Badami, and Dr. Makati are Global Health Track residents in Internal Medicine at the WVU School of Medicine.  Their lecture entitled "WVU IM Global Health Track Perspectives" will be given on Wednesday, October 17 from 12:00 - 12:50 in room 1905 of the Learning Center at the Health Sciences Center.

Katie Fullen, Eric Hatten, and Miranda Kalaskey

Katie, Eric, and Miranda are students at the WVU School of Dentistry.  Their lecture entitled "San Lucas, Guatemala" will be given on Thursday, October 18 from 12:00 - 12:50 in room 1905 of the Learning Center at the Health Sciences Center.

Kelly Lopez and Kaylee Schmidt

Kelly and Kaylee are students at the WVU School of Nursing.  Their lecture entitled "Global Health Nursing: The Seed of Prevention" will be given on Thursday, October 18 from 12:00 - 12:50 in room 1905 of the Learning Center at the Health Sciences Center.

Patrick Tomboc, DO, FAACP

Dr. Tomboc is an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics and the Section Chief of Hematology and Oncology at the WVU School of Medicine.  His lecture entitled "Four Program, Three Continents, Two Bottles and One Change in Perspective: My Journey in Medical Volunteerism" will be given on Friday, October 19 from 12:00 - 12:50 in room 1905 of the Learning Center at the Health Sciences Center.
