“There is a process and rules to follow, and everything fits together. It was not a huge transition from doing computer systems to learning about human anatomy and physiology. Serving as a project manager for so many years helped me manage the heavy load of schoolwork.”
Jane Tuttle always wanted to become doctor, and this Sunday after her degree is conferred and she takes the Hippocratic Oath, she’ll achieve the dream that started in her childhood. As a non-traditional student, she encourages future students to think about weaknesses positively – they’re opportunities to keep working at them and try again until they breakthrough. Her degree is a testament to that resolve, assisted by the M.D. program’s positive environment to push through to success as she sets of for residency in internal medicine here at WVU.
