Objectives
Provide experience and training to medical students in field of geriatric psychiatry.
Methods to Achieve Objectives
- Assist in care of hospitalized inpatient geriatric psychiatric patients;
- Work in geriatric outpatient psychiatry clinic weekly with preceptor;
- Assist with geriatric psychiatry consultations at nearby long term facility;
- Perform assigned reading in geriatric psychiatry.
Examination Procedures and Evaluation Criteria
Daily observation.
Pre-Rotation Instructions
WVU Students: ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE ROTATION REPORT TO: 6th Floor East, General Hospital at 8:00AM.
Visiting Students: You must attend Orientation prior to your first rotation. Please contact the 4th year coordinator prior.
