A Word From The Program Director

Mountaineers go first!- A slogan commonly heard here at West Virginia University and across the state that embodies our program and our residents, who lead by example in clinical care and advocate for the health of children in West Virginia and beyond.  The Pediatric Residency Program at West Virginia University offers excellent clinical training to prepare our graduates to be outstanding pediatricians.  Our residents pursue careers in primary care, hospitalist medicine, and all pediatric subspecialties and come from across the country and around the globe.  The Department of Pediatrics strives to provide evidence based teaching and professional mentorship to support our graduates in their endeavors.  We welcome outstanding future pediatricians to help us continue our tradition of strong academic medicine and providing quality care to all children.
