Nephrology / Hypertension

WVU School of Medicine is proud to offer the services of a Pediatric Nephrologist to the families of West Virginia.  We are excited to be able to add this previously unavailable specialized care to the services currently offered here at WVU.

"It is a very exciting time to be involved with the care of the kidneys. With the tremendous input of both genetic studies and wide spectrum molecular investigation, there has never been a time when physicians have been more privileged or effective in the treatment of kidney disease. With this knowledge, we are starting a pediatric nephrology program here at WVU. Our goal is to have a positive impact both on the acute and chronic kidney problems of the children in this region. Some of the exciting services we will be offering are a renal replacement program for both chronic and acute care, chronic outpatient hemodialysis services, and peritoneal dialysis services. We will not be performing kidney transplants at this time due to the close proximity of the kidney transplant center at Pittsburgh Children's Hospital, but will be able to offer continuing care for this patient population after transplant. We look forward to serving the community. "
