Pediatric Group Practice

LOCATION: University Town Center - Morgantown, West Virginia

STATUS: Elective

Objectives

To become familiar with the comprehensive care of the child from birth to age 18 in both health and illness, in a primary care setting.

Methods to Achieve Objectives

  1. Evaluate children of all ages through history and physical examination;
  2. Select the appropriate studies, procedures, and treatments necessary to maintain or restore health in the most economical and humane manner;
  3. Provide counseling and guidance to children and their families, in matters of health and family life.

Examination Procedures and Evaluation Criteria

The clerkship coordinator will solicit from the supervising faculty an evaluation on the students. These performance comments will be compiled by the coordinator and a grade with narrative description will be assigned and forwarded to the office of the Associate Dean for Student Services.
