Objectives

Add further breadth and depth to the student's knowledge of the diagnosis and care of hematologic and oncology disorders as they occur in children.

Methods to Achieve Objectives

Participation in the evaluation and care of patients on both the inpatient and outpatient pediatric hematology/oncology service, participation in teaching sessions, as well as directed reading in elective areas. In addition, the possibility of an in-depth review of a particular subject by means of chart evaluation, literature review, or elective laboratory experience can be arranged.

Examination Procedures and Evaluation Criteria

Daily observation.
