Addiction
West Virginia is on the front lines of the opiate and alcohol addiction with the highest age-adjusted rate opiate drug overdose deaths. The mission of this research group is to understand the neurobiology of addiction and evaluate addiction prevention, treatment, and harm reduction strategies.
