Adolescent Medicine
LOCATION: CAMC Women and Children's Hospital -Charleston, West Virginia
PRECEPTOR: Department of Pediatrics Faculty
DURATION: 2 or 4 weeks

MAXIMUM ENROLLMENT: 1 student ( Student will have to drive to off site clinic at times)

Objectives
Learn psychosocial and physical development of the adolescent. Learn skills in communication with adolescent and family members. Learn elements of family dynamics
Methods to Achieve Objectives
Direct contact with patients; list of required reading, including handouts and books, and copies of previous lectures on substances, contraception, depression, approach to the adolescent and "WV Teens"

WVU Students/Visiting Students: 4th year coordinator will email students one week prior with assignment. Visiting students will first attend an Orientation before starting; you will receive an email one week prior with detailed Orientation information.
