Navigating the ever-changing practice guidelines and evolution of new treatment modalities
How do you foresee Cardiology changing over the next 20 years?
We are at the "tip of the spear" with regards to innovations in the treatment of heart and vascular disease. I feel that gene-specific therapies as well as micro-invasive procedural techniques will dominate our field in the next 2 decades.
What advice would you give a student who is considering a Cardiology residency?
You will need to be a dynamic learner with the ability to quickly adapt to the changing clinical landscape of cardiovascular disease practice.
